It ain't that big a carton, if so-- with all the professional hitting last year, he ended up with a not-super-productive .287/.355/.357... and that was his best year in three.

They're obviously not done trading, although I'm really not sure who of their recent acquisitions plays center. Sure Kemp has plenty of experience there, but it would have been nuts to put him back there even before the hip diagnosis.

I assumed it was going to be Upton but apparently they're planning on trying Myers in CF.
For all the 'Flash' of those name acquisitions and the offensive upgrade they're getting, that is NOT going to be a good defensive outfield and that's not a park where you want to stock up on a trio of below average range guys.

Padres continue to make deals and the Yanx continue to 'sell high' (or at least they hope so) on some of the no-name pitchers that helped keep them afloat in 2014 - as Shawn Kelley goes to SD in exchange for 22 y/o minor league hurler Johnny Barbato.

Banuelos was one of the (very prematurely named) so-called 'Killer Bees' when Yanx fans jumped to the conclusion that Banuelos was going to combine with Dellin Betances and the since released Andrew Brackman to dominate MLB for many years to come. But he then had arm trouble and is just now making his way back.
Carpenter, 30 next July, was a real good arm out of the Braves pen in '13 but a little less so in '14
Shreve got in some games late last year.
