Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I somehow agreed to do a thing where we have a fantasy offseason with 30 guys each making the moves for their team.I got the Tigers. Seeing as they're a contender needing a LH-hitting CF help, a starting pitcher to replace departing FA Max Schezer, and bullpen help, I found a willing trade partner in the Mets who gave up Niese, Parnell and denDekker for SS Jose Iglesias (not bad, but would be returning from long injury) and LF/RF Steven Moya (35 HRs in Class AA last season; 6-foot-6 guy with massive powa, good speed but questions about whiffiness and low OBP).If you're the Mets do you do this deal?http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/m/moyast01.shtmlhttp://www.baseball-reference.com/players/i/iglesjo01.shtml
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Having trouble seeing Iglesias as superior to Tejada. Is he?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I dunno. The Mets GM thought he was.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 I'm intrigued by Moya's numbers, and he's only 22, but I'd pass on that, especially because we're still stuck with Tejada too, and he and Iglesias are basically the same guy.
