Guest themetfairy Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 YOU DO NOT CHALLENGE OBI JUAN LAGARES!!!But damn - a Frazier homer cuts the Mets lead to 2-1. Good thing that Obi Juan cut down the runner on the previous play!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Haha, Frazier sucks. Or maybe he's just stupid. Shit, Mesoraco goes yard, forcing me to learn how to spell his name.2-1 WinnersOO, nice play by Duda.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Oh, he was safe. If the wheel was still on it would have been perfect! Man, I love baseball.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Upon further review, the replay rule kinda sucks.(even though they got it right)
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Oh, Wilmer, you similarly dumb bunny.

Good nuff 3-1 Men in blue
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 As a formerly weighty gent myself, I don't mean to mock... but, man, was THAT a fat-guy play from Bart, there.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Bartolo looks old and tired tonight.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Duda was weirdly close to being in position to make a Keith play on the bunt.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Every, say, third night this year, and that inning goes total shitshow after the first three plays. Such as it is, we get damage control this evening.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 You know that guy-who-makes-the-great-inning-ending-defensive-play-comes-up-next-inning-and-gets-a-big-hit thing?Yeah, the Herrera at-bat was, like, the total inverse of that.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Flores lazy feet almost get someone hurt. Those are dangerous feet. I'd recommend he wear little weights around his ankles during practice.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Oh, Todd Frazier, bless your stupid heart, and your functionally-brain-damaged-type hustle.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 He seconds that emooooo-ooo-tion. Frazier sucks.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Is O'Simon wearing a Dominican mohawk?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Wright just took like a 50-mph pitch for strike three.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Oh, KAPOWIE! You don't try that shit twice, Simon.

Guest Trachsel My Tears Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I was just about to inquire if you thought hitters like D'arnaud were pissed when Duda gets an IBB in front of him when --WHAM!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Mr. d'Arnaud to the spin-drying area... Mr. d'Arnaud to the spin-drying area...Putting it as, um, Midwesternly as I can, the reaction from these Cincinnatians to Simon's struggles has been a little less "best fans in baseball" and a little more "most passionate fans in baseball."

Guest Trachsel My Tears Guests Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 It's still an interesting multi-part question:1) are hitters pissed if someone gets IBBed in front of them?2) is being pissed, if that's indeed what happens, good or bad?3) why don't more batters get all worked up, if this is the effect, routinely? Mostly they're trying to stay calm, patient, thoughtful--the opposite of "pissed."Just wondering.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 The old 3 run homer. The last few weeks it's been nice to experience those. Can't say for sure, but I don't recall many of them early on.
