Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I think they should put some kinda doo-dad in 2nd base that can read when the guy making the turn passes over the bag. The base could light up or something. This guy was pushing off the bag though, which is rare on a DP attempt.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 In other NL East news, the Orioles just hung a six-spot on the Nationals (including 3 HRs) in the top of the 11th.8-2 O's heading to the bottom half.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Always nice to knock one of those badass Braves bullpenners out of the game... until you realize that there's another one right behind him.Tosca holding his closer?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Ugh. Wright, you're killin me.Time for an early midnight snack.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Certain the Braves will extend this inning to Freddie Time.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 It's like they're playing pinball with our pitchers.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Loved seeing Laggy put his head down and pump there.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 NICE! He waited nice on that. I thought he'd take a huge swing and wiff.Huge double..YIKES! This pitcher is wacky!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Doo-Doo should have tagged from 1st on that.If it fell it didn't matter and if caught he could have walked there.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Ugh, T again w/2 out. Well, he can do it.YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Gotta like a game that ends with four tied innings and Kimbrel never gets off his butt.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 T is such a lil snotnose kid. Running to first holding up a #1? Ha. Big hit though kid. We needed this.

Also wondered if Tosca was giong to go with five infielders, but nobody does that with two out.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I have to say, it was kinda unprofessional of Ruben to yell, "Bite me, Starlin Castro!" during the postgame.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Upon reflection, my first thought about last night is that clutch hits have been so rare this season that when something like Tejada's single comes around it's almost shocking.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Indeed, all four Mets RBI came with two out. So your system must've sustained some serious punishment.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 It was mainly just the last one. We've seen so many of those game-winning and/or game-icing opps go by un-cashed this year that I've become conditioned to the idea that they won't.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Its one of the worst calls Ive ever seen.--- Fredi F. GonzalezHow is denying his team the stupid privilege of enjoying a clearly blown call one of the worst calls you've ever seen?Fredi, your argument should be with your shortstop, not with the umps.

I actually dozed during the 11th, and didn't see Rube's bit until the second or third round of Sportsnite after the game. Much like me, it's getting more than a little old and tired.
