Campbell's a little out of his depth at third, huh?

Ugh. I'm both surprised and disappointed how bad he's been at 3rd.

It's the reason guys like him are fine at any position as long as they hit, but not so fine if they have to hold down the position for an extended period. You don't have the reps to know what to do in every situation, but you can do OK on your instincts. See the ball, catch the ball. But once your instincts fail you once or twice, you start doubting them, and then you're really in trouble.

didn't flip it on. But that's what happens when you move it back to the East side.

Yeah, good one. They moved it so far downtown they practically were in Jersey (in the Bay anyway, NOT on the East side. Queens and most of Brooklyn had to look over Manhattan to see it again.

These hats are a travesty.

I despise these hats and I don't really generally care what hats a team wear as long as it's got the Mets logo. I keep thinking they're the other team.

Well, there were signs and warnings in Edgewater on Tuesday specifically saying "no fireworks viewing, fireworks in East River" type stuff. I used to watch 'em from Roosevelt Island, though that was a disaster to get off of afterwards.

If the only red on the Mets one was in the flag part, and they were Mets orange and blue, or better yet just blue, I might have liked them.

The star being off kilter a little doesn't work well behind the NY.

Just... just... bag league-wide crazy hat days. You want to salute 'Merica, let the teams come up with their own designs to do it.

Gotta get Laggy in to pinch-run for Abreu here, right?

I was thinking that as soon as he got to 1st, but it's a short bench to begin with and Terry already swapped Youngs via the double-switch last inning.
Short benches suck.

... and now it doesn't matter!!!!!!!!!!!

Is that the first big hit Travis ever got?

This game needs some badass Lino Urdaneta action.

Ah yes, one of many in the line who was going to be much better than Armando Benitez (according to some)

No Wright, (essentially) no Niese, facing their one big pitcher, were down on the 3rd pitch of the game, had lost a bunch in a row = Nice Win! (even if it did takes 7 hours to complete)

Shades of Luis Castillo there.

Another way of looking at it is that it unmakes Castillo's sin, to an extent.

I've seen a different look in Travis's eyes since his return. Confident, focused, a little mean. I thought it made him look more mature.

But they shouldn't let him talk. He sounds like a nervous 14 year old.

Ha. Nice try.
