Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I didn't see the Gee play at 2nd until the replay just now. Missed that half. Nice play and maybe it effected him but he got thru another inning. Real nice to see after last outing by Dillon. Farnsworth is on.3-0 Mets, bottom of the 8th
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 That hot dog thing looks disgusting, and I'll eat pretty much anything.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 OO, big K by Farnsworth, who looked like he was busy digging his own grave. Still a ways to go before I can rest in peace.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Rice ends the 8th, extracting a high chop grounder from Parra to second, where Murphy fields it flawlessly.Still 3-0 after 8.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Whoa! Young makes things happen. A ground out to the pitcher ends up with EYjr @ 3rd.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Valverde on in a non-save situation in the ninth. Gives up a lead off kaboomer.5-1 NY
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Not much better than April wins...
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Those are brooms, but we need the real thing!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 -- I'm guessing the Diamondbacks are a little tired of Kirk.-- That hot dog business... ugh. That Challenge-Eating shite isn't food, it's an America-shaming obscenity.-- "Who is that guy, again? He reminds me of Benitez, when Benitez was bad."-BetterHalfer, watching the ninth
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 So did we get an explanation as to why Gee was pulled despite a 3 hitter and only like 70 pitches?G&K speculated about the tangle he got into at 2B, but if it wasn't that or some other cautionary reason (blister, etc.) I was very much against yanking him at that point. Yeah he's been known to fall apart somewhat quickly at times but, as Keith pointed out, he's not going to bust through that threshold by not being allowed to even try.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Terry gets a pass from me for yanking Gee before he inevitably coughs it up. I'm sure we've all see the ugly numbers and ugly results as the game goes on for him.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Collins took him out so Gee would have a good feeling .....I mean fucking really?,

I assume he's got this reply so rehearsed he can actually nap while he's giving it.
