Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Blake Forsythe, catcher, B-Met, third-round pick from 2010, and heir apparent of the famous Forsythe fortune, has been dealt to the Oakland A's for FuCos.Not a typical situation when a minor leaguer gets dealt with out big league talent coming back, and one imagines there are all sorts of mind games going on when the Mets deal with the A's.Forsythe was looked to as a power bat coming out of college, but whatever diminished power he has been able to muster as a pro as been offset by low batting averages, and he in fact hit .192 / .271 / .362 // .633 in 2013.

They are now allowed to trade international signing dollar amount exemptions (or whatever they call it when you can spend over your "limit"). Also, you can't trade a player on the DL, so maybe there will be a named return shortly. Finally, thank you for protecting my gag reflex by not naming this "The Forsythe Saga".Later
