Sheesh, if that doesn't sound like symbolic nomenclature, I don't know what. Tanner Schleppers, the talented but privileged and therefore lazy middle-of-the-rotation starter who can never get over the hump because of dumb mistakes, who speaks of lessons learned from his many comeuppances, but never quite embodies these lessons and remains a mid-to-backender.
