IGT:9/24:Metropolitans vs. Redstockings @ Cin./ Stop Leake!

Good evening Mr. Pool

Your mission, if you decide to accept it, is to stop the Reds pitcher Michael Leake (14-6, 3.21 ERA) who has been utterly dominant of late, winning three straight starts behind a 0.84 ERA.
He's thrown a career-high 20 1-3 scoreless innings over that stretch and is also trying to win a career-high fourth straight start, and he hasn't put together a longer single-season winning streak since beginning his career 5-0 over his first 11 starts of 2010.

Can't choose pictures this time Mr. Pool. This is your team:

As usual, if any of your CPF force are caught or captured, the GM will disavow any knowledge of your activity.
Good luck, Mr. Pool

[bigpurple:2dtz9vef]OH YEA![/bigpurple:2dtz9vef]
Take that Choo!

Now does it matter if you keep 17 as your uni number?

Choo don't throw as good as Laggy. Hope he's okay with playing left.
Bax doubles and Tovar drives him home nicely, taking second on the Choo.throw.

1-0 Mets

WHOA! Tovar out at the plate on Niese single. Nice throw by Bruce.

And I cant hit post before Young bounces one over the CF wall!

Still, 1-0

Teufel overplaying his hand there. It's a bad enough idea to run on Bruce, but doing it with him playing shallow against the pitcher is sooey-side.

Mets have two doubles and two singles this inning, but only one run.

Shortest outing of Leake's [crossout:1s1nj4n0]Correa[/crossout:1s1nj4n0] [crossout:1s1nj4n0]Korea[/crossout:1s1nj4n0] career.

Niese better take this lead and find his cruise control on the mound.
Fraziers doubles the start the 2nd. Come on Niese. Keep things in order.

OOO, nice play by Tovar.

Call me unrealistic, but there's more than a little Rey-Rey there, isn't there?

Judging by how this game has gone so far, I half expect to see the foreman from 'ON THE WATERFRONT' to come out and say: "OK, everybody [crossout]works[/crossout] hits today"

Choo is a bit thick in the frame, I think. And maybe a guy who'd be carrying extra weight by the back end of a long-term (or possibly a medium-term) contract.

Don't know about that but it was perfectly played, especially considering the deflection. Showed good range, movement and arm. Which is great cause I have no idea what this Tovar guy can do. Nice to see these youngsters up and playing.

Also got hisself seriously schooled by the younger CFer on how to throw to home.
Lagares got rid of his faster and was considerably more accurate.
