Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 It's actually Alex Wood (Travis is the one on the Cubs).Alex is a 23 y/o rookie making his 22nd ML appearance, his 7th ML start, and 3rd ML start vs the Mets.He started the 1st game of the June 18th DH but was pulled after just 3 innings down 1-0He started again on July 26 and we chased him in the 5th while the Mets were leading 4-3. Mets went on the win both games. He's sporting a 2.61 ERA; 1.026 WHiP overall.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 It's a Niese day for a Met winning.It's a Niese day to start again!AAZQaYKZMTI

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Every time I see you fallingI get down on my Niese and pray!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Just wanted to ask.....how fecking good is Lagares out there? ....and do pitchers have that thought in their heads when pitching?
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I assume Lagares caught that question, as he catches everything else.

Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 no he doesn't walk much at all.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Nobody tracking this? Scoreless tie in the fourth.Niese was untouched until just now when Andrelton Simmons singled and Lagares pegged him going for two.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 SATINBOMB! 15 rows back. Mets up 1-0.
dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Satin's home run a mirror image of Davis's last night.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Rosenberg and Lewinsky are filling the booth with Jewish inside jokes and laughing themselves silly."I'll say it again. You don't get material like this with John and Susan."
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 B.J. continues to suck, and good thing too.I don't feel for him in the least Garr.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 [crossout:2b3nz49u]Agee[/crossout:2b3nz49u] doubles!. Lagares!

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 ooo, holy shit. ooooo, that was bad.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Jason Heyward takes it on the helmet. Not good, considering how far off the plate he stands.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Heyward hit in the side of the face with a fastball. Flap must have been involved or he'd be out cold. Jaw? He walks off himself. Whew, that was scary.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 And Niese gets seeming rattled, and the two-out, two-strike HbP turns out to be the tying run.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Who's gonna win the 2013 METS slower than shit award?Satin or Flores. Buck should be in the running as well.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Braves are going to get pissed at us if we keep picking off their players like this.First EY takes out Hudson, now Niese and Heyward.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 lol. u see Murphy with the deek on the line single to right? He's a crazy man
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I have a sad feeling that this is where the game slips away. Second and third, one out...
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Upton does something good for the team and then tries to get out of doing it. A different kind of crazy.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I'm afraid Lagares is gonna get the payback pitch.
