Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 This was the year that the Mets went north with like five rookies on their pitching staff, and meant to carry journeyman NRI Nelson Briles too, but they couldn't come to terms as they were breaking camp. Funny to hear Bob Murphy talking with sunny delight about how happy and successful the Mets are with Neil Allen and Jesse Orosco in their starting rotation, when one was destined to soon hit the bullpen and other to return to Tidewater for the better part of three seasons and return to become the most prolific reliever of all time.
