Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 The Nationals are guarding to the gate to the castle holding the NL East title. Someone who's serious about storming that castle needs to leave the guards bleeding by the side of the road as you storm past. The Mets need to put together a legitimate winning streak, 8 in a row, or 12/15 or something that converts all those extra games they have to play into wins if they want to be taken seriously. It continues today. nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 It took forever to decide Wright hit that ball foul...
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 It's not like FOX had a good camera angle on it so we could see what happened.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Yeah, it's not like they should make an effort for 21% of the country, including New York.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Gee suddenly decided to throw two batting practice pitches?
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Real letdown today, Mets offense shitting the bed again and this time against a starter who has been terrible this year.

Horrible camera work. I've only seen parts of this game up to now. Unfortunately the bad parts, not the one good part.Down 4-1 and playing lifelessly.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Man, that came out of nowhere.BTW, nice opening post Ceets.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I was able to see the end of this on MLB.TV. I didn't think I'd be able to but it allowed me to replay the game (they didn't show it there live). That's good to know.Great catch by Byrd to end the 8th. The more I see the more I think Byrd is all we need in right next season. I don't like to see Ike whine but I think he had a real good case on the called strike to end the game. Meh, that ump sucked all day.The excitement from the Mejia performance has been sucked out of me. But if he pitches like that again it will be rekindled.
