Reds are here.

Muffy stays in the leadoff slot, followed by Ankeil, Wright, Doodoo, Byrd, Davis, Buck, Tejada and Marcum. Vs. Cueto.

I'll be rockin it Budokan style.

Tornados today in Oklahoma. Local forecasters predict a heavy chance of Jeremy Hefner interviews during tonight's game.

I wonder if he's going to finally reveal that he and the other pitchers/hitters are not to blame for the Mets woes after Harvey pitches, but rather it's Harvey's fault...Harvey's brilliance makes the hitters complacent; and make the other pitchers look like they are throwing Batting Practice by comparison...Would the Mets be 0-9 on days that Hefner pitches if he followed Nelson Figueroa or Jason Marquis instead?

Jayzus. Ike can't hit, he can't field, and now he can't remember where to stand. Never mind the minors. Shock therapy may be indicated.

I think we would have had Votto at second (would have been damn close) even if Ike didn't stand there like a dolt, and that costs us a run.

Ron says that if Ike wasn't standing there Votto would not have tried for second. I dunno about that. He was cutting the bag with at least a thought of proceeding.

Gil Hodges walked out into left field to pull a guy giving the kind of effort that Davis is giving. I would love to see Ike walk back into the dugout and not come back out for the rest of the night.

And this is not just lack of hustle. His head don't seem to be in it.

They're gonna score some runs on Cueto. Hold the Reds close and the Mets will get it done tonight.

Mets have had too many of these innings where they make the opposing pitcher throw a ton of pitches and get guys all over the basepaths -- which is all well and good -- but then don't actually score any of said guys.
Hopefully it'll pay off eventually but it would be nice if it were to occasionally pay off at the time.

I hope no one at the park tonight has a dinner reservation for afterward because, at the pace this game is going, they're not going anywhere for a while.

Marlon Byrd is neither fish nor fowl. But he just hit a 3-run KABOOM!

Marcum hanging tough in a 1st & 2nd, none out situation. Izturis and Votto down, Phillips to go with runners having moved up a base.
