Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I think this will be a good year for Jon Niese, and that he'll make a step forward in his progress. 17-9, 3.20 ERA, 185 strikeouts. Schaefer Mets Pitcher of the Year.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 15-8, 3.58 era, 169ks.If all these players do as I hopefully predict The Mets should win 90 games easy.
Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I think Niese takes a big step up, and is an All-Star.

I wouldn't be stunned to see him with 15 to 17 wins, and an ERA between 3.25 and 3.50. With Santana being iffy, I think Niese becomes the ace of the staff.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 This could be good.31 GS, 196 IP, 16-10, 3.38 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 165 K, 48 BB
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2013 Author Posted May 13, 2013 So he's been struggling with a stiff back and a neck injury?Maybe they should 15-day him and give McHugh (if not Wheeler) a couple of starts. Right now some rest might be better for Niese than continuing to send him out there.
