At the end of the 1961 season, Satchel Paige was signed by the Portland Beavers of the PCL. Ed Charles was a third baseman for Vancouver. They met during the final home stand in Vancouver. Charles relays his experience when one of his teammates tried to bunt on the then 55-year-old Paige. Video of the interview is included.
