Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 A's give up Chris Carter, Brad Peacock (a pitching prospect they received for Gio Gonzalez) and another prospect to Houston for SS Jed Lowrie and a reliever. What caught my attention about this was how Houston liked Carter because they need a DH. And how it's a now an intra-division trade.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Is that the same Chris Carter we used to have?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Nah, this CC is black and righthanded. Considered a good hitting prospect.Lowrie is one of these guys whose image is better than results so far. Losing him lowers Houston's entire payroll to something like $15 million.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 This Chris Carter has the body shape of a linebacker and started to breakout last season. Surprised to see the A's bail, but they do have Michael Choice in waiting.
