Somebody has to back up Tejada, and Hicks seems to be more of a SS than Turner.
But while Hicks had some pop in the minors (20hr/550AB power), Turner is a better hitter and would be more useful as a PH.

Well, it's not necessarily an either/or. Ronny Cede�o's spot on the roster is still open. Currently being squatted by Zack Lutz, but that's not really gonna happen.
