Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 now that I have a moment to actually look at the painting..The apple is up and the fan in the upper deck there is signaling home run. But clearly the CF is relaying it in to Chipper and the third base coach seems to be signaling stop, but the runner seems to be running through that towards third, and is clearly going to be trapped in a Chipper-started rundown. Unless they're review it and rule it a home run..which never officially happened at Shea. Of course, there are no officials on the field, so it's easy to see how they could've made a bad call.

I like his sentiment about umps. Who needs em?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Since Young had an okay first, does that mean we get 7 out of him today?

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I like how Uggla comes to town sucking moose dick and then has 6 hits in his last 8 at bats verse us.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Gah. And suddenly Uggla can field too. There's a double for Muffy for our first hit of the day.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Ike hasn't had a home run in like a week, he's due.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 OH! Uggla tries to rob us and we steal a run!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Very surprised Murphy was going there. But he didn't break his stride, did he?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 The more interesting question is whether he went on his own or got a nod from Tuefel.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Whew. We'll be lucky to get five out of him. I was about to go get my fork.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Lewis hits for Young in the 6th. Decent performance by Young. Looked messy but they only got two.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Murphy rips one for his second double of the day, 35th on the season. Tie this game David!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Whoa, Duda with an excellent diving catch.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Well, you make a catch like that and then you come up and smack one out, don't chya?Meh, a lead off single will have to suffice. That was ripped though.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Mets taking chances on the bases. I like. 1st and 3rd for Wright. 2 out.
