G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Author Posted August 15, 2012 Let's hope this lineup REALLY takes Leake!What?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 How about Valdy playing that carom perfectly but the throw coming in a half hour late?Dickey not have it tonight or what?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Edgy DC wrote:How about Valdy playing that carom perfectly but the throw coming in a half hour late?Dickey not have it tonight or what?He might have too much. That ball is really moving. But the Reds seem to be able to get their bat on the ball when they need to. Yea, that throw from Valde was super weak.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Yeah, Howie talking about Thole having his hands full tonight as he gets his second passed ball. He's specuating now about Shoppach's experience.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 How about this bullshit about R.A.'s bracelet? I would think those strings hanging off his glove would be much more distracting than the bracelet. Thats a bunchAbull that they make him take that off. I like how when he got back in the dugout he took it and stuck it inside his hat.I bet one of his kids gave him that. If Dusty wanted to distract him just the time wasted on it was enough. But he won't effect Dickey. Just the game time.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Well, at least there won't be two perfect games today. And we break the shutout too - although not in a good way.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 TIED! But damn all these DPs lately.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Gahdooty! Well, that cudda been a 2 run blast. Nice pick off of Bruce. Another homer? PoopyGah!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I think the Reds strat is a good one. Swing as hard as you can and if you hit it.........
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 The main problem with those HRs is that three runs seems beyond the capability of our offense these days.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I'd like to buy Thole a stout after the game.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Grab those bats and start usin em you bums!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Is that brand new news there? The 6 man rotation? I know they were talking about different stuff like that.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Pitching..4 starters, 9 or 10 man staff..Livest arm closes.It used to work!

And I never will. I may turn my back on them from time to time, but they are my team thru thick and thin. My number one wish would be new owners, but this might not happen any time soon. So I'll just keep rootin and wishin. It helps that I love watching baseball no matter who's playing. Just love the game.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 - Mike Leake was struggling over the last month or so ... Cured!- Jay Bruce has been in a slump ...
