Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Thole looked like he was trying to transfer the ball to the bare hand - which is the right thing to do - but got lost in the big glove and therefore didn't have a handle on it with either hand and that's why he dropped it.The kicker is that, if he had hung onto the ball, Alonso had fallen down between 2nd & 3rd and was a sitting duck for a double-play.
