THEN WHAT?Well, the answer to 'Then What?', especially after several of the youngsters (Edgin, E. Ramirez, Hefner) are already up, becomes something like -- Manny Acosta! And, FWIW, he's been pretty decent at Buffalo: 7 ER over 28 IP (2.25 ERA) with a WHiP of 1.00 even including just 4 BBs and 1 HR

Looks like he's only pitched a handful of innings since like 2008, most of it in the minors, and most of that lousy.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 I've shifted out of "lets make the playoffs" mode. I'm now in "lets finish over 500." and "individual Met accomplishments" mode, and if we get our shit together and make another run it'll be a pleasant surprise. I'm not giving up. After all, this is baseball. Just shifting gears to keep my sanity.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 To start lets get R.A. his 14th win. LGYFM!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Bay contributes! Walks into the Nats catcher while he trying to throw out Hairston who ends up safe even after over sliding the bag. No interference call on Jason. Two outs Cedeno, so do that 2 out thing.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Thank you Ronnie. And boo for trying for 2. Boooo. Would have liked to clear Nick.1-0 us.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted July 24, 2012 Author Posted July 24, 2012 Plus, the stolen base distracted fans from booing bay
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 I was afg and didn't see the Nats score. So I'm gonna ignore that run for now.

Can't believe that was 2005, lived out in Long Island IIRC and the local hacks were out there talking to the family.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 The next good throw that anyone in this outfield makes will be the first one this year.
