Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Are my eyes deceiving me, or was Thole setting up, like, a foot outside the strike zone for Diaz?

Teach him to pitch pathetically around a guy and eventually he'll work his way up to a more subtle pitcharound.

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) On that Valdespin catch/trap fiasco, I don't know what the rule is, but maybe the lead runner Prado had the right to rely on the botched "out" call. If so, then Prado rightfully believed that he was obligated to return to first base, and couldn't stop on second base. It's not fair to require Prado to determine which of two irreconcilable and simultaneous calls is the right one. Maybe Prado never even saw the "fair ball" call. Edited July 14, 2012 by Guest

And it would probably be a better association for Peerless.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Good point, Edgy. Instead of being annoyed or ignoring the mention, we'd think nice thoughts of Bob Murphy and Peerless would benefit.BTW, it's "Peerless"--your wrote "Peeless." That's an entirely different product.
