Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum play bumbling undercover cops at a high school. Hijinx ensue.I don't know if the Edgys made it to that double feature but this half was a lot of laffs. I liked it better than "Hot Fuzz."Bonus Memory: I never watched the TV show but recall when it was new battling with a housemate over whether to watch it or the 1988 All-Star Game which was on on the same night.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 We saw Battleship, but didn't stick around for Jump Street, the second feature. I thought it would be first, but I gather that it's a little raunchy for the family viewing of the early evening drive-in show.It was my first drive-in experience and I highly recommend it and the community viewing experience it represents. We were like 90 minutes early but had ourselves a picnic and enjoyed watching family fun time unfold, letting strange kids play with my cute yet vicious dogs.I wanted to re-enact scenes from The Outsiders, but my wife wouldn't play Cherry.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 i never watched the tv show, but my wife did. so she was willing to watch, and we let the kids watch, too, even knowing it was rated R and probably raunchy. There were some genuine laughs (my son especially liked the part where the bad guy gets his dick shot off), but it was pretty stupid and forgettable overall, with no real reason to recommend it.
