Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 The rundown one was great. Cool that they have a file. Unfortunately, he plays in the same division as our secondbaseman who has a history of not getting out of the way.Cool that the interference was called Monday night. Too rarely whistled (and infielders are too rarely whisteld on BS neighborhood plays, for that matter).

I wish they'd call it, but at this point I wish they'd make a point of _saying_ they're going to call it prior to Spring Training so the players can have some practice not exploiting it.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Funny-- there are about 4 or 5 other dirty-baserunning plays I can think of without trying (a couple more funky slides, the Reyes obstruction call, and my personal favorite-- the "whoopsie" deflection of a throw from the outfield while playing for Team USA).

When he spoke to Joe McEwing on the phone about it, Super Joe's response was, "Who were you trying to take out, Andruw Jones?"
