TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Tejada face-plants after tripping at first base. Out of the game.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 They are saying on the radio Tejada is banged up badly after tripping or trying to slide into 1BI hope he is ok, and I hope he tripped because sliding into 1st instead of running through the bag is stoooooopid
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Turner is your shortstop...and the dumb ass who makes the third out at third base.3-0 good guys.Tejada was trying to slow up because there was not going to be a play and caught his toe in the dirt. Fell on his face.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Ouch! But Josh drives in a run with Turner out at third.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Ugly fall. Turner at short is a concern.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Right quad strain for Tejada.Davis tries another railing flip, but doesn't make the play.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2012 Author Posted May 6, 2012 Yeah, Turner should ideally be your third option at SS, not the 2nd.Didn't realize that they had demoted Valdespin in favor of Carrasco prior to the game. Can't bring Valdespin back for 10 days unless they DL Tejada (or someone else).Meanwhile, I see where they've got action going in the bullpen but, in my mind, R.A. needs to fall apart big time before I even think about yanking him from this game.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Any word on seriousness of Tejada injury?
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Dickey in for the ninth, gives up a run -- and is gone.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2012 Author Posted May 6, 2012 WHEW!The Kubel fly to LF looked innocent enough but that Montero shot at the end scared the snot out of me.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 In the books! Let the flag wave!
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Tejada to receive MRI of quad and have an eye checked. DL likely per Rotoworld.
