G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Lefty-swinging Mike plays LF this not so fine Sunday. Righty-outmaking Jason takes a seat against big-time righty pitcher with high-time ERA and High Times reputation.Sign of things to come? Either way, let Baxter smoke Timmy.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Well, not much of a swap as No. 5 hitters are concerned. I still say we need a better threat to put one over the fence as our lefty hitting reserve outfielder.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I know this really doesn't mean much at this point, but Jason Bay currently leads the Mets in runs scored, with 8. (Nieuwenhuis has 7, Tejada and Duda have 6.)Baxter seems to be an okay player, but unless someone else gets hurt, I think he'll be headed for Buffalo when Torres returns.

Seems very unlikely they play, but I'd had to miss out on a bobblehead..
