Mets lineup is out somewhere. Duda batting third.

I'm torn between an early lunch so I can be on the radio/at bat by the time the game starts, or late lunch and going somewhere to watch the beginning. hmm..

Lot of outs in Cedeno's bat. If Wright is out a while, Collins seems determined to find them.

Did Ronny kick Tony's puppy or something? He tweeted earlier that Ronny "fooled" Collins with his three hits yesterday.

Well, yes. Because as an offensive player, Ronny Cedeno was, is, and most likely shall always be-- what's that French word? Ah, yes-- shitte.

well yeah, he sucks, but just seems harsh coming from a beat writer. Nor am I sure what his point is. That Turner should be playing today?

The Tyrna does have a better-- if still not traditionally "good"-- bat, and about six times the ML experience at third.

Lotsa pitches in that first inning, but no runs across.

I wonder if we'll get to a point once it's warmer where Santana's feeling good and at like 102 pitches and Terry trots out and Santana shoos him. I hope so.

Thole guns down Espinosa at third for the final out.

Well, that was a sweet little opportunity lost there.

Twenty-six pitches for Strasburg, too, with only 10 going for strikes. It's Squeeze City out there. Not a typical ump behavior on a getaway day.

Strasburg looks annoyed in the dugout. As per GKR, the Nats continue to yap at plate ump Larry Vanover as if they were gray-uniformed purse chihuahuas.

That's two days in a row that the Mets have opened up the game with a runner on second and no outs, but have failed to score.

I do not have a bigger baseball pet peeve.

As Ron points out, Thole's inability to get the glove out of the way while blocking-- the pitch bounced up off the mitt's heel, rather than down off his chestplate/mask-- makes that wild pitch, and a one-run deficit.

Guys! interviewing Roger Craig in the stands.

"We went in thinking we were going to win a lot more than 40 games. [Casey] was great to play for, he was just so easygoing, so happy."

[Long pause]

"He didn't teach very much."
