Jair Jurjenns vs. R.A. Dickey. Curacao vs. Kilimanjaro. Look for Kirk Nieuenhuis to get the call and make his big league debut starting and leading off.

The weirdest 1-2-3 inning you'll see in a while. Way too shallow by Bay and a double drops in, 6-3 advances the runner.

Then a passed ball by Thole is retrieved in time for the 2-1 putout with a nice tag and then Mccann flies out to LF.

Chag Sameach from David Wright! And thankfully no Met games during seders this year!

What did Murphy just do??

I think that was Tejada getting in the way. Made Murphy hesitate.

Was looking at the replay for the Wright kaboom and was having trouble seeing where it landed in the Mo-Zone. Was that the first new-fence homer?

Duda's homer: would not have been a homer with the old dimensions. Wright's would have.

Also, thanks Phil Cuzzi for Nieuwenheis' first major league hit.

Nope, it landed in the bullpen.

Ah! makes sense. I was looking at it with the MLB At Bat ap and it was hard to tell.

Dickey fails to sneak a fastball by Prado and we're tied.

Oh well, I guess we're not going to allow no runs all season.

Mets take it back on a Thole single off Livan. 3-2 going to bottom-5.

9 for Nieuwenhuis, who just tapped out to short to end the inning.

Murphy had a single off the wall just now, double to the mo-zone last year. Wright follows with a single, a passed ball makes it 2nd and 3rd. Do you walk Ike to get to Bay here? Livan opting not to so far...

On 2-0, 3 straight curve balls for strikes (the 3rd was fouled) then ball 3 on a fastball and another curveball for strike 3 looking. Don't underestimate Livan's veteran savy!

Wright fielding the bunt well!

Izzy taught Parnell a knuckle-curve and he ditched the slider? Wow I really didn't pay attention last year

Oh, and that knuckle-curve? It's bee-yoo-tiful.

Bobby looks NASty.

Duda with his 2nd homer!

And how about Kirk's 2nd hit of the day?

Let's go mets!!

From the Punch Bowl Turds Dept.: the HRs are nice and all, but the Mets are now 2-for-16 (or 17, I lost count) with RISP on the year.

Rauch looks like he sells speed, but he seems to deal exclusively in junk.

Also, he throws a lot of off-speed pitches.
