Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Johan strikes someone out, makes Bonifacio look silly. And all is right with the world.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 11, 2012 Author Posted March 11, 2012 Second and third with no out after a Loewen double.Adam Loewen folks. Get to know him.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Loewen evades the tag on the sac-fly by Satin to get to third. 1-0 good guys.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 11, 2012 Author Posted March 11, 2012 Josh Satin, who gakked in the big spot yesterday, plates Bay (not Loewen) with a sacrifice fly. Mets up 1-0.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 11, 2012 Author Posted March 11, 2012 But Thole picks up Loewen with a single.Sure you want to play with these guys, Jose?
Met Hunter Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Can't help put feel it looks like Mets/Braves from a distance.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Christ, was that John Thompson pitching for the Mets?, surely not please.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 11, 2012 Author Posted March 11, 2012 Schwinden. It'd be curious if he really hurt Stanton.Maybe it's good that Wright and Davis aren't in the lineup today.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 no Ralph. Tuesday though.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 11, 2012 Author Posted March 11, 2012 Error on Loewen last inning.Adam Loewen, folks. Get to know him.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 boo, it's raining. who's idea was this?
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Just checked in on the game 4-2 bad guys. Were any of those runs charged to Santana? Did Schwinden inherit the runners or were they his? And, with Wright out for another week (as per Yahoo sports), why isn't Zach Lutz getting some time at third?Later

The other's were Rauch. Schwinden let up the unearned, come in with the bases loaded, but got the next guy.Because I guess Lutz isn't a real option at third as a backup? I imagine he'll get some time here and there though.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Actually, the error leading to Santana's unearned run was on Cedeno who booted a grounder at 3rd.Nice that Muffy and Loewen got their knocks off a lefty.

Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 I think I'm not going to be able to watch any Mets - Marlins games this year.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 One thing we got a taste of today was Buehrle. One inning, I think it was the Mets third, was over in 90 seconds tops. He's great at that, and could imagine him being an especially difficult customer to oppose on those gaydame getaways. Really the Mets will see a sweaty buttload of terrific pitchers this year.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 11, 2012 Author Posted March 11, 2012 I'm hoping Johnson pitches less than Santana this year. But hoping for injuries to the opposition isn't a way to get ahead.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 That pitch hit Stanton so hard it changed his name.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 I should punch you in the neck for linking to that SB Nation website. My meager coimputer resources are easily overwhelmed by that mountain of click-thru come-ons.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 Get in line.Anyhow, the bottom line is that Mike Stanton, knowing how poisoned that name is in baseball, is now playing under the name Giancarlo Stanton.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Between Stanton plus the player once known as Leo Nunez, the Marlins apparently picked up several players to be named later over the winter.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 He's Giancarlo Cruz Michael, technically. Mom calls him "Cruz." From a strictly aesthetic view, that seems to me to have been the way to go.
