G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 His emergence from the bullpen in a Mets uniform for the first time since 1999 on a Monday night at Citi Field was an early high point to a season that promised few in April. Morons were doing the wave as he was announced, but those of us paying attention were whisked away to days of promise, albeit unfulfilled.Mostly didn't suck until he kind of totally did. Good luck keeping at it, however.

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 45 never quite looked right on him, IMO.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Some early-season goodfeeling, then a lot of warning-track fly balls that got caught... then some that didn't... then this against the Marlins, which we attended in person... then a whole lot of sighing whenever I heard his name announced.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Kinda pissed that he was given more than a token chance to close, considering his not-long-for-this-worldiness, while some others weren't given a serious chance.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Blew a save or two after #300 also, I think. And then was shut down after the first week of September. He really had nothing for about three or four weeks before that and was pitching on guile and charm.
