Brian Harrison, 3B

Starting Pitcher Carlos Vazquez

One of the stupid mascots watching the game

Scooter's Starlets, basically young girls dancing somewhat disturbingly on the dugouts. Hey, it's Staten Island.

Quite possibly the worst hamburger I've ever had at a ballpark

Another mid-inning entertainment thing. Giving babies lemon juice.

Boxing match with mascot "Holy Cow" (says scooter on back)

Great view of the Freedom Tower from the park

New draftee Jack Leathersich, the Leather Rocket

Frank Viola to the mound

Final Out, Cyclones Win

Not the most impressive fireworks display ever, but still nice.

I went to see the Hagerstown Suns host the Greensboro Grasshoppers. We got rained out. Actually the rain let up but the field was in crap condition. I did walk out with a promotional giveaway of a Brian Wilson gnome.

I am open to offers.

As to the food - ick!

Giving babies lemon juice is cruel. Forcing them to wear MFY gear is abusive. I hope you called Child Protective Services.

Nice touch on the Bill Gallo Press Box, though.

I don't know how hard and fast they stick to the 'rule' but it seemed like the SI Yankees tried to stick to the numbers of the 'real' Yankees. The SS, Cito Culver, was wearing number 2. He stepped out of the box annoyingly like Jeter, He tried, and failed, to make that stupid jump throw like Jeter. Catcher was 20. I heard someone mention this rule, but it didn't seem to fit across the roster.

That numbers thing bothers me. (Great pics, BTW).
What if a player IS wearing the same number as a current Yank all the way up throught the organization and they retire that player's number before the player makes the majors? (I can think of a lot of things that can make Jeter eligible for that happeneing in only a few years, one being struck by a meteorite, another flying his private plane into a building near the East river.)
And what if they have two prospects wearing the same number who both make the majors? Who gets to keep it?

Silly.
