Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Posted on UMDB's Facebook page:The Mets have played 55 games in 2011, more than a third of the season, and none of the games, win or lose, have ended in a walkoff. The previous record for latest walkoff in a Mets season was 1977, when the Mets waited until their 42nd game, May 28, 1977, to lose a 10-inning game in Philadelphia.I blame Jeff Wilpon!Actually, this is a little strange... it means that the visiting team has won every extra inning game that the Mets have played so far this season.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 How many extra inning game have they played?
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 I find it ominous we are making Metly references to 1977.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Or how many opponenets have failed to beat the Mets in the ninth while the Mets were on the road.
