I like it, setting Muffy up for the 2-run 1st inning HR.

Looks like we're going to be a couple of players short judging by that picture.

Or, I'm guessing that the Mets feel like the players can make it to YSIII on their own.

Where are you? Are you hiding on the bus?

Mookie looks so vulnerable. Oh my God-- are you planning to murder Mookie?

If was bored and had the time off, I might hang by the entrance to the 6 train near Wright's apartment. although he may get a car service to go there?

He's on the DL.

I'm hoping he's watching the game on his 72" wide-screen HDTV in the comfort of his bedroom propped up by two dozen pillows filled with freshly shorn lamb's fleece while cherubs exchange hot and cold gel packs on his back every half inning.

He's been in the dugout for all three games this week. There's absolutely no way he doesn't hang in the dugout.

There's also no way the guy takes a packed 6-to-4 train to the Death Star. Where is his place again?

I swear I'm in denial. Everytime Turner fields the ball I do a double take.

He's on the UES right by one of the train stops. 83rd or somewhere around there.

He's also not the kind of cat to limit himself to one TV.

That's his old place actually, near the original Shake Shack.

His new place is 85th and Lexington, near the new UES Shake Shack.

But he's still the same cat.

I'm looking forward to these 3 games, Faith & Fear in Flushing summed up my feelings here:

http://www.faithandfearinflushing.com/2011/05/20/posadenfreude-friday/

but from a competitive stand point, it's not equitable. The usually annoying Jayson Stark has these points in his latest column:

Because they're stuck with life in Subway Series perpetuity, the Mets get to play the Yankees six times. And how many times will all the other NL East teams play the Yankees this season? That would be none.

Finally, here's a glitch that sums up the problem, even though it doesn't figure to wind up determining the fate of the NL East race. If there's supposed to be some level of division-by-division symmetry to this schedule, how do we explain this: The Mets will play 15 interleague games against teams currently .500 or better (plus three against the Angels, who are just a game under .500). The Nationals could play none. How does THAT happen?

If the Mets are supposed to contend for a playoff spot, or at least finish higher than the Nationals, interleague play stinks.

Interleague play stinks anyways. If I could change one thing about MLB...

I'm tired of the silly 'unfair' argument about playing the Yankees. teams change from April to September anyway. It's not any different than the Mets playing the Astros real early. What if they were to trade for a stud or bring up a prospect that dominates late in the season? is that fair to the Phillies who may have to face him twice? Or just the plain dumb luck of maybe the Mets miss Halladay in the rotation and only face him 3 times, but the Marlins face him 6 times?

A whole lot of jumping at early-in-the-count junk pitches in the top of the first. Doesn't bode well, considering latter-day-Garcia's Livanity.

Keith gets his fellatio of Jeter in early , fucks sake Keith cop on and grab a hold of yourself, you big eggit.

Nice 4-3 DP from the Ruben.

The knuckler looks pretty active in the first.

Ceetar--I understand your point but who would you rather the Mets play tonight, the Orioles or the MFYs? Not from a view of "this is exciting" but from the perspective of making the playoffs?

The SNY telecast is maybe three seconds behind the channel 9 telecast, Lieter and Cone doing the game with Kay.....vomit.
