That said, I'm pretty sure he doesn't spend his days listening to old torch songs, watching Bergman, or reading Hobbes.

I like to envision his home life-- and I know it's not this way, and recognize Jose's full, complex personhood-- as something like a Dominican Pee Wee's Playhouse with a loving, beautiful Muppet wife and kids.
