To further highlight Tuesday's event at Citi Field, Marine Corps veteran Sgt. Elizabeth Qui�ones will sing "God Bless America" during the seventh-inning stretch.

Qui�ones was in my unit. I really hated her. Now she gets to sing the national anthem at Mets games. I hate her even more. But the ticket giveaway is nice. The Mets actually had another offer for free tickets going into the season through the Welcome Back Veterans program.

I've always wished the Mets (or any other team) would have the balls to just play that instead one Sunday. It would obviously paint MLB into a corner (could they really complain about that song versus the inferior GBA?).
