G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Jason Pridie stands poised to become the tenth Met named Jason. There weren't any until 1994, so they've come on demographically in a big way. Compare that to the consummate baseball name Willie. The Mets are on their sixth Willie (ahem), Harris, in franchise history, having accumulated half of them before Jason Jacome put his name on the board. I don't get much of a kick out of Willie Harris's play thus far, but I do enjoy exhorting, "C'mon Willie!" in a way I didn't for Collazo, Blair or Randolph.Three Jasons on the active roster, with Bay and Isringhausen preceding Pridie. You don't suppose they'd issue the new one No. 46 -- deOllieated as it is -- so we can all three in a row?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Sadly... that's unlikely. He was an 11 with the Twins during his prior major-league stint, and has worn 10 as a member of the Bisonry. Collins has 10 now, but 11's free and clear. The real question... does he still have the beard?
