Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Old Mets strength and conditioning coach Rick Slate:New Mets strength and conditioning coach Brad Andress:Everbody, get Andressed!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Plenty of experience , welcome abordick .
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 An x-college football player who was a strength trainer throughout the 1990s and 00s. That'll show the folks out there the Mets are against PED use.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Speaking of doctors, I was goofing off on Twitter the other night and shot Jim Duquette a message. He said soething about his opinion on Vald to Baltimore and I asked why he passed him over in a soft market in 04. I didn't realize he replied to me till just now:Jim_Duquette Jim Duquette @ @Springer66 - the same doctor that said Kazmir would blow out said Vlad's back wouldn't hold up. 0 for 3. Overlooked VZ injury too.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Eh, it's easy to blame the doctor. I was hoping he was going to savage the Wilpons for taping the piggybank shut so as to raise $$ to buy out the Cablevision contract.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Donnie fucking Wall, how did I forget him?Good call Wolf.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Too bad Kurt Russell did'nt take out the "Duke of NY" before he got here.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 What's his record with player injuries?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Not trying to defend Jim Duquette but he was considered a good baseball person before that trade.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Speaking of trainers, I saw an HBO piece last week on the health of football players in their post-careers and it largely featured interviews and comments by Mackie Shilstone.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Speaking of x-football players (and injury treatments) x-Jets QB and SNY host Ray Lucas has checked into rehab for addiction to painkillers.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 In defense of Brad Andress, he's taken a lead professionalizing the profession, with disgust toward Brian McNamee and his brand of interlopers who have sullied the reputations of all.http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?columnist=nelson_amy&id=3159523Or, looked at differently, he's taken the lead in building a facade of professionalism into the profession, so to better shield miscreants.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Yeah, I guess I was unfair. I also should never doubt that if a profession exists a trade group for them also exists: http://www.pbsccs.com/So has Donne Wall signed your card yet? I was weirded out to see that card indicate partial season results already.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Haven't sent it yet; only got his address the other day. I'm so close to 700 autographs I can taste it.That's a 2001 Topps Traded card (T80), hence the updated text but no updated stats.
