A pal, and fellow Mets fan, in New Orleans heard that two hurricaines are approaching the North East.
Here's what he sent :

SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR EARL AND FIONA For my friends on the east coast. 1) Candles, matches, batteries, flashlight 2) Non-perishable food and water for at least 4 days 3) Fill your vehicles with gasoline 4) Tape your windows or board them up 5) Ice with ice chest 6) Beer 7) Hurricane or Pina Colada mix 8) Rum 9) Chainsaw with full gas can 10) Condoms if needed UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE YOU TO WATCH A METS GAME (due to an increased risk of suicide by running out into the hurricane naked)

He survived Katrina, so I guess he had the right formula.
