That's a clubhouse-friendly, all-smiles 5 pitches seen and 5 swings over 2 ABs for Frenchy.

Hey, hey, Jason Bay
How many Mets did you strand today?

Team, fans, coaches cuss
Ain't brought nothing but outs... for us!

Cora's superlative range has given the Braves 3 of their hits today, by my count*.

*Which is generally terrible, granted.

Just answer, lads. One run even.

As long as there's no bunting involved.

SHUT UP IN THE METS BOOTH ABOUT TIM HUDSON!

Hey, Barajas! Talk about him, guys!

Ugh.
Cora rips a DP.

Since the Hudson interview in the dugout, I have had no play by play sound at all, but I do have the stadium sounds.
This is wacky.
Cora fouls one off and as clear as day I hear : "FUCK!"

Called my brother, he is getting the booth and he lives pretty close.
He said 3 innings ago he was gonna turn the game off cuz the Foxheads make him wanna hurl, lol.
He put his sound down. This is some wild and wacky stuff, that I get all sound cept the Foxbooth.
I'm not complaining, mind you.

I was happy when Jesus Feliciano was called up--great story, .385 average--but has he shown us anything to justify staying around when Beltran comes back? Thole catches R.A. and Carter has some pop but does Felciano add anything?

Sure he does. Failling in a two-out, down-four pinch-hitting appearance isn't much to judge a guy on one way or the other, but he's still hitting .278 after that appearance, higher than most of the lineup.

I'm drifting into the Millar-killing camp.[/quote:24s0005i]

No other announcer in history has gone from my 'never heard him' list to the 'never want to hear him again' pile.

You wonder sometimes what these networks are thinking when they hire these guys?
- will he speak in old tired cliches? - Check
- talk about his own career a lot? - Check
- laud every player he ever played with? - Check
- spout lots of stuff about 'character', 'hustle', 'clutch', 'grittiness', and 'intangibles'? - Check
- show no comprehension between causation and coincidence? - Check
- say in a paragraph what could be said in three or four words? - Check

HE'S OUR MAN!!!

The ability to play all three OF positions and an extensive knowledge of Northern NY eateries?

He's walked once in 57 PA, so that .278 average gives him a sub-.290 OBP.

omg..was that just a sneaky Gatorade product placement ad via "ump microphone" featuring him getting a bottle of the stuff?

This is the wierdest thing ever.
Out in the living room I'm getting the booth sound.
PC room, only stadium and crowd noises.

If I'm Jerry, I'm probably sitting Jose about now.

Of course, if I'm Jerry, I maniacally chuckle a little more than I do now.
