Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 I went with Sutter, who was dominating and almost popularized the split finger fastball. I eventually gave may second vote to Lee Smith, but it was close between Smith and Tekulve or McGraw. Tekulve and McGraw may not have been as dominant and seemingly unhittable as Smith, but they were highly effective throughout their long careers in the NL East. They simply got people out and preserved victories for their teams. For me, the two of them were exceptionally close to Smith when I factored in their effectiveness and the long tenures they enjoyed within the division.
