Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Another road game, another loss. This is getting monotonous.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 And --- assuming everything else breaks the same --- the tying run would have now been on base.[/quote:1gqkbqak]That's a hard thing to assume but I hear what your sayin.I mean, if Barajas is on 1st, do they throw the same pitches?Does the batter approach his at bat in the same frame of mind?Who knows... But that's baseball and that's what we all are thinking. Is there a Jerry deathwatch clock up yet?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Hey, they scored after letting the lead out to five. So... progress! Bully!(Sigh)That jingle does get stuck in your head.I think the one with the telephone # in it is worse tho. Can't think of it atm.Its a late night one.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 There's actually a lot of good to take from this game. Jerry switched up the lineup. Though nobody believes that Angel is the answer at number three, Jose Reyes responded with a good game (no popouts, with one kind of lazy fly). David Wright made wind only once (could have picked a better time of course). The Sucker of the Game was clearly Jeff Francoeur --- four ineffective at-bats, two whiffs, three stranded and an outfield error. The hit by Carter (Jerry should have saved him for an RBI situation but it worked out and who can comprehend the mind of Jerry) may help punch his ticket for a start tomorrow and a squat for the Frenchman.OK, there's a little good to take from this game, but getting Reyes and WRight straight is no small priority.
