Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Pagan, cfCora, ssWright, 3bMurphy, 1bFrancoeur, rfSullivan, lfTatis, 2bSchneider, cPerez, lhpA-Hern in uniform tonight but Tatis gets the nod at second.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 I had a 30 minute nap today, and the kids are bedding down early. Gonna watch me some Mets tonight.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Rickey Henderson will join Gary and Ron in the booth later , something to stay up for.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Its Friday and I hit don't hit the bars anymore..so, game onLETS
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Last night the booth had Jerry Coleman calling YS3 a bandbox, maybe Rickey can do some more good public service
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Hotline, with the best pitch-taking I've seen by a Met in the last five minutes.(That's a Run Watched In for you in my book, guy.)
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 We sure as hell need this running start, considering who we're throwing out there on the mound tonight.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 Nice start for the good guys. Let's see if Ollie decides to a) run with it, or shit on it.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 a) run with it..Ashie has a feeling lol
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Oliver Twist is out of the first..yippee
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 Impressive - Ollie comes back from 3-0 to get the K.Ronnie makes the same observation, this happens so rarely this year for him.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 Kyle Blanks up, who apparently is Bill Brasky reincarnate.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 "Did I ever tell you about the time that Bill Brasky hit a lazy, ineffectual fly ball to left?"Nasty tail on those fastballs, no? I have a weird feeling about tonight.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Murphy appears to have caught whatever Tatis had before the last week or so.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Hey, Tatis may be 0-for-2, but he's seen two Frenchy-Games' worth of pitches so far tonight. (A sadly rare skill on the SHaMmers.)
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 (edited) STFD, Princeton fuck.WICKED slider on 3-2.(HURRAH, HURRAH, PENNSYL-VA-NI-YAH) Edited August 7, 2009 by Guest
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Ah crap. That big dude just smashed a double.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I know he's not dead because I see him in the dugout but has Jerry been diagnosed with a terminal disease? Turned the game on last inning and it sounded as if Gary and Ron were eulogizing Manuel. Speaking to his humanity throughout all of this year's ordeals, etc. I'd half expected to hear that he'd been canned.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I'm chuckling to myself because I see that the second base umpire is listed as Randy Marsh.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I confess to be listening in on the MFY game at the same time. Sterling did a "IT IS HIGH... IT IS FAR .... IT IS going to be caught in center field..." on Tiexera last inning. Still 0-0 there, top 12...

Ol' No-SugarTits was doing his weekly interview with Manuel... and he couldn't stop praising the guy for "not losing (his) sense of humor" and "proving (his) character." He sounded like a schoolgirl with neckfat.Whatever he's got, it must be exotic.
