Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 4-1. Every team leaves guys on base. Two weeks ago the final score is 2-1 Braves in 12 innings. (Or 2-1 in 9 innings considering Delgado's error). The 11-1 games are coming. Patience, Iago.

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 5-4 bravos, Chipper's ball should have gone a bit further and led to great embarassment for Delgado on the backpages tommorow.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Pulling at the "should have" thread makes things unravel in quite the unseemly manner.I'll take the win, and wear the sweater as is.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 More for both teams for sure.Consider that the average runs/game for both teams is about 9 these days - and these teams racked up a total of 23 hits, got issued 8 walks, and benefitted from 4 errors, yet only managed to get 7 runs and that was only after being handed their final 2 each.At least Livan can make the argument that he made his own breaks by inducing 3 DPs
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Say it ain't so. Only the Mets leave runners on base and fail in the clutch. Surely this can't happen to the Braves and other teams.
