Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I realize that he's Bison roster fodder, but this is kind of cool. The guy gets one at-bat in the 2007 World Series. On the first pitch he hits a home run that puts the Sox up 4-1 -- and they win the game 4-3 and the series, too.One pitch.Manny who?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Not only bats right, but murders lefthanders, while scarcely qualifying as a hitter against righties. He's a platoon squad all star.I luv it.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 If he makes it I hope he grows his hair out again.Last time I saw him he had opted for the standard issue close-cropped jock look - but originally he had this huge bird's-nest going on in a rusty-red shade not seen since the early part of Daniel Joseph's career.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I hearby nickname him "Room 222."
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 More I think about this, the more I am jazzed by it. This is every bit the redundancy that we were looking for to protect us against the likely regression of Fernando Tatis.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 He could be very useful if he's healthy. The Mets do need another righthanded bat, whether Tatis hits well or not.
