Guest mario25 Guests Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Big smile on Hanley Ramirez face...I would like to punch it.....This team loves to smack the heartless Mets

Guest mario25 Guests Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I love the Mets but in order to be a playoff team you have to finish the deal....
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Eh. We lost this one on merit. Hate to go back to Wednesday night but I'm afraid we just might be regretting that one for as long as we're fans.
Guest mario25 Guests Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 We as fans can go back to many games this season like Wednesdays.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Lunchbucket -"Eh. We lost this one on merit. Hate to go back to Wednesday night but I'm afraid we just might be regretting that one for as long as we're fans."That's when the Mets let the Divisiaon race slip away for good and loosened their grip on the wild card. Last night's victory brought back a glimmer of hope, but essentially it all seemed to just slip away when they lost on Wednesday night. The Mets need to realize that the season doesn't end in August. They need to learn to finish the deal.
Guest mario25 Guests Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Man on third nobody out.....seems like a done deal almost every time
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 We didn't get that situation this evening, did we?
Guest mario25 Guests Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 No just venting from Wed.Night's game

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 It was early (6:50? 6:55?) so there wasn't much of a crowd on hand when they announced the promotion of the "top moments at Shea" -- they counted down #3 (winning in '69), #2 (Piazza, 9/21/01) and #1 (Game 6). Then they announced, "representing moment number 3, Bud Harrelson (who had already pulled down the number) and Tom Seaver!" Big cheer. But then Piazza was announced -- total surprise -- and it was great. He looks fantastic. Was the highlight of the night for me.The rest of the night? Sucked. The 'pen got the boos but the offense lost us the game.
