bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Dear Mets,I apologize for the things I said about you yesterday. Wednesday night was so hard--we were so close to everything that we dreamed of and, for the first time, I doubted whether or not you wanted what I wanted. You have to admit, that after 29 or so indiscretions, where we came close to achieving a "W" but did not at the last minute, that is natural to doubt. But you're only human, or 35 or so humans, and you showed last night that you want what we both want. I was there for you last night, and will be with you tonight, and every night.Always,bmfc1

Guest sharpie Guests Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 I seem to be in charge of the Mets lately. Was at a concert last Friday. Saw none of the game. They win. Watched the games Saturday, Sunday, Monday -- they lose. Went to another concert Tuesday, saw none of it, they win. Wednesday I'm listening to the radio and they go ahead. Turned on the TV, they lose. Coming home a little late last night, passing by a bar where the game is on TV, stand on the sidewalk and see that first inning home run. Go home, turn on the radio, they rally to tie. Turn off the radio to do other things, they fall behind. Turn it on, hear them coming back. Am tempted to turn off the radio and turn on the TV when the whole last week hits me. I stay with radio-only Mets. We win.I'd love to watch these games, but it seems I can't. Pity.
