="HahnSolo"]OK bullpen, you can make up for a lot with a big inning here.

Bullpen was pretty good today. The hit off Sanchez to drive in runs 4 and 5 was a seeing eye single.

I wasn't meaning tonight; I meant the bullpen in general for the last few weeks

On ESPN, Sutcliffe is explaining that the Mets should have known every pitcher that the Chicago pitcher was throwing because of the way the catcher was setting up and that if the Mets couldn't figure it out, "shame on them." Anything about this on SNY?

Sutcliffe is a dumbass. Someone put something in his mouth, my zipper's stuck.

Indeed he is--I thought that he was going to start sobbing when the Mets tied it. But the catcher tipping the pitches was true.

No.

I also don't put a lot of stock into what Surcliffe says.

Elster88: If the catcher slid to one side or the other, it was a fastball. If he dropped down, it was a breaking ball.

I'm not a fan of Sutcliffe's announcing, but in this instance he was right. The Cubs catcher set up differently for a fastball than he did for a breaking ball every single pitch that inning. Jose could likely pick that up out of the corner of his eye or Beltran could likely signal in from second.

Signal stealing is a part of baseball. We did it in high school and in college the coach had a system of signals for us to use.

MURPHY!!!!!!

I LOVE THIS GUY!!!!

Im no fan of Suttcliff but he was right and on target there.
And someone on the Mets should have picked up on that, though its possible that Sutts perspective is what helped him observe that.
For all we know maybe someone did.

Leadoff triple for Murphy. I swear, I thought he was going to run out of gas midway between second and third.
