Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 I think it's clear that the secret's been unlocked here:- score early and you DON'T score late (Fish today - us for like every one of our last 95 games) but give up runs early and you DO score late.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 YEA.JReyes scores untouched on the tag.6-2 METS

Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 (edited) Manuel seems to be working with the strategy of getting one or two outs from everybody.Just don't put Duaner in this game without calling me first. Edited August 31, 2008 by Guest
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 It's amazing how many pitchers the Mets require just to get through the final 2 or 3 innings of most games.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 It's a good strategy... if it works.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Nice grab by Reyes , Stokes on with Buchhart talking a mile a minute.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 (edited) Now if the Cubs can rally to a victory over the Phillies. The Phillies are leading 5-2 in the bottom of the sixth. The Cubs have runners at first and second with one out and Ryan Theriot at the plate against Moyer. Make that Theriot to face Chad Durbin as Manuel pulls Moyer.Upon Edit: The Cubs come up empty as Theriot Strikes out and Soriano pops out to Utley. Edited August 31, 2008 by Guest
