I think it's nice that Oberkfell is finally getting a spot on the big club. But I can't figure out why Nieto would get the ax. The Mets must have done it for a reason. Maybe Manuel wanted his own guy there? Maybe he pissed off Tony Bernarzard?

its nice to see oberkfell rewarded, but its hard to see why Nieto had to go anywhere

Nieto didn't do anything wrong that I saw/heard about. They could have thrown Oberkfell someone else's bone.

Apparently the only thing Nieto did wrong was be Willie's guy , his friend. At least that is what I have read the past week.
