duan Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 but a kinda funny one in the report in the NYTIMES this morning "The Mets did not always play well Wednesday night, but they did play with passion. The catalyst was Jose Reyes, who returned from his tantrum a night earlier after Manuel removed him in the first inning as a precaution when Reyes felt a twinge in his hamstring. Reyes threw his helmet and shouted at Randolph, but the two talked in the clubhouse and on the bench during the game. They both wrote the incident off to Reyes' competitive juices."http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/19/sports/baseball/19mets.html?_r=1&ref=baseball&oref=slogintwo different managers in one paragraph, i suppose is kinda like having two different managers in one road trip and hell, maybe Jose did think it was Randolph.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 It's been a tough week on the press corps.I think it would be cool, however, for all the other papers to run front page stories on how disgraceful it is for an organization like the Times to bungle one like that, particularly in the middle of the night when they thought nobody was watching!
